Rescue struggles to care for dogs who were seized in animal cruelty case
Dogs seized from a breeder in Trumann, Arkansas, in early October are now in the care of a non-profit rescue organization which is struggling to pay for their care. Animal control was alerted to the less-than-stellar conditions by neighbors who reported the smell of feces emanating from an Olive Street home - nearly 20 dogs were taken from the property and the dogs' owner later surrendered custody to animal control.

TRUMANN, AR - A Poinsett County judge sentenced a Trumann man to five years in prison for "inappropriately touching himself in front of a child" and showing the child pornography. John Hillis, 35, of Trumann pleaded guilty to felony sexual indecency with a child, according to a sentencing order filed in Poinsett County Circuit Court.
Man on bicycle dead days after being hit by truck
TRUMANN, AR - A Trumann man has died following a crash involving a truck days earlier. Keith Davies, 66, was pronounced dead at a Memphis hospital following the crash on Nov. 23, according to Arkansas State Police.
